Projects 2012 - 2013 The KwaMhlanga Busines Initiative Phase iI This project built on the Foundation created by the 2012- 2013 projects. Skills were required in Trade and Business Shows. Training was therefore implemented to address this area of challenge. Funding: D epartment of Arts and Culture Location: I fa Lethu Creative Hands Incubator (Mamelodi) Partners: U niversity of Pretoria, Kungawo Development Deliverables: • 10 Participants acquired training on how to prepare for trade shows • Participants researched and produced business concepts for implementation • Participants were trained in product display and marketing • Participants produced business plans for implementation SOSHANGAAN ART TRAINING PROJECT This project focused on 30 learners - Grades 5 & 6 at Soshangaan Primary school in Mabopane. The workshop, facilitated by Michael Selekane at his old primary school, was to teach young learners the joys of art and how it may be used to earn a living. Funding: N ational Lotteries Board Location: S oshangaan Primary school in Mabopane Partners: T shwane University of Technology Deliverables: • Teach learners how to draw • Help them grow their talents and skills • Drawing is going to assist them in technical drawing and figure • Lessons will assist learners for a competition to have their work exhibited 28 Ifa lethu annual report 2012/13
